Disney People :-) Free dining got released today! :-)
we were already booked to go down at the end of august/first week of september.... and just today the free dining was released for fall, so we were able to get it  you have to have park hopper tickets this year.... which we were planning on anyway- but still saved us about $520!! and we'll get to do 4 character meals, dinner at Le Cellier steakhouse....not too bad!

If you are staying deluxe, this isn't a good deal at all since they charge rack rate for the room. Just an FYI!

we're staying deluxe (wilderness lodge). we were booked in standard view room, with dining plan and "maxed out" ttickets ( park hopper, and water park options). we had to "upgrade" to a "woods view" room to get the free dining... but our final total went from something like $4483 to 3973- so about $500 savings

But you were paying rack rate to begin with since room only codes aren't out yet for the end of August, but they will be coming out. I would do the math again when they come out!

Those came out today too 30% off deluxe room only I'll double check the math again, but with the character meals we want to do I think it still ends up cheaper to use the free dining promo

Free Dining is great for some people and for others the room only promo works better. It really depends on a lot of factors.
I've had clients do better with the Free Dine and others do better with the room only depending on the resort and number of days/number of people on the reservation.
