Just be sure to buy her a rape whistle before she goes off to college and pat yourself on the back on your good parenting skills and go back to watching reality tv.

A rape whistle? I'm sorry but rape has NOTHING to do with the way a woman dresses.

If, God forbid, you had a friend or family member who was raped, I would hope you wouldn't think this happened bc of the way she was dressed.

As for the previous comment about the plastic surgery that she has gotten, I agree.

I don't equate rape with the way a woman dresses. It's wrong any way you slice it. But I'm also not naive enough to think that a 17 year old girl half dressed like a hooch hanging out with a bunch of guys isn't going to be attracting the wrong kind of attention from creepers or giving those guys the wrong idea. What do you honestly think happens to these girls dressing like this when they go off to a college party? Bottom line is young girls carrying on like this are sending guys the wrong message.

As women we should know better. Calling her (or any woman or teen) a 'hooch' is slut shaming. We shouldn't be teaching that to young women. She is 17, almost 18, but she still has sexuality. A woman should not be called that because of her choices in dress. She is free to choose what she wears, and we shouldn't be taking away that choice from her. This isn't the 1950s anymore.

And no, the bottom line is not about sending the wrong message. The bottom line is how that message is received. Parents need to teach their sons that if a woman is dressed a certain way that she is doing it for herself, she can make her own choices, etc.

I know you said that you don't equate rape with the way a woman is dressed, but you kind of contradict yourself with the last line. It's blaming the victim. Slut shaming is part of rape culture. It needs to stop. Men do it, and, sadly, women do it, too.

"Slut shaming" is a legitimate concept now?? I learned of "fat shaming" and "skinny shaming" on another thread. But "slut shaming"?

I think the proper term here is "societal mores." In our society, it is generally considered inappropriate for a 17 year old girl to walk around in completety slutty clothes, take practically nude pictures of herself in a skimpy bikini and post online, and date a mid-20's man with a child. It's culturally not generally accepted, and the latter is illegal I would think, I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume she is having sex with him.

Everything is not just ok. Would you call it "slut shaming" if she was dating a 50 year old man too? I'm dumbfounded at this line of reasoning.

Right?? ITA with you!! I'm actually so tired of these new "PC" catch phrases in general. Slut shaming, skinny shaming, fat shaming??!! It's so stupid. I swear, the ONLY place I even hear these corny, "PC" terms is on LIF.

Also, to use the term "slut shaming" implies she actually is a slut and we shouldn't make fun of her for it which is pretty much the most moronic thing I've ever heard. Not that Kylie is one but now we defend sluts and whores???!! Oh my.

This thread is ridiculous, how anyone can think this is an appropriate outfit for a 17 year old girl and that it doesn't attract the wrong kind of attention is beyond me.

As long as a woman is practicing safe sex and not hurting anyone, yes, I'll defend "sluts" happily.

Women have the right to enjoy sex just like men do.

There is a fundamental problem with the word slut for a few reasons. The lack of a male equivalent is my main problem with it.

This is why men rule the world. Because we tear each other down.

I don't get the argument that she's dressed fine because most other 16 or 17 year olds wear less and dress like hoochieskanks too. If she were your 17 year old daughter you'd be ok with her leaving the house dressed like this (and posting other trashy photos of herself on social media) because her peers are dressing equally as trashy (and posting equally trashy photos)? I laugh because I'm reminded of parents telling their kids "well, if your friends jumped off a bridge would you do that too?"... Kids do all sorts of stupid shit in high school. Would you be ok with your kid doing the same just because their friends are doing it too? Strangest argument I've ever heard. It's like saying "well, everyone I know is a hooker, so I decided to be a hooker too".

Why do we have to see ANY 15, 16, 17, (whatever teen) year old's ass anyway? What makes that appropriate or right?? Where are their parents that are buying them and/or allowing them to wear these hooker clothes? I wish they'd have raised their daughters to have some self respect but at 17 it's probably a lost cause. Just be sure to buy her a rape whistle before she goes off to college and pat yourself on the back on your good parenting skills and go back to watching reality tv.

I don't know, I just find it funny because the other day someone posted about their teenager getting a nose piercing and most people responded with "I won't allow that"... yet, on this thread so many people seem to be passive about something far worse than a teen's piercing.

I couldn't agree more! It's this attitude of, "well all teenage girls dress like wh0res so what can you do? " that leads to a society of all teenage girls dressing like wh0res. Therein lies the problem.

ETA: I don't find this outfit (aside from the shoes) to be that bad. It's short- but the coverage on top compensates for that. The shoes are whorrific.

I will agree with you except for one thing. Yes, WOMEN should be allowed to enjoy sex. WOMEN. As in grown, consenting adults.
Not 15, 16 and 17 years with no sense of responsibility ending up with unwanted pregnancies and worse.
There is a big difference.
Would you want your daughter "enjoying" lots of sex at 16 years old?

She's not a "woman." Legally, she's still a child and I don't believe a child should be enjoying as much sex with as many guys as she wants.

For all we know, she doesn't have sex at all- but she's sending a very specific message with the way she presents herself.

I think there is a HUGE difference between someone (female OR male) that practices safe sex with a few partners as opposed to the person who indiscriminately sleeps around with everyone under the sun with little or no regard for their own self respect or well being.

ETA - Nothing to do with Kylie, my comment is meant in general.

Re: Kylie Jenner

Why are some people defending her right to have sex with as many people as she wants. She's a CHILD!!! If she were a grown woman, yes, she should be able to enjoy sex (responsibly!) with any amount of men she wants and it would be her business... but she is a child that is SELLING sex! And if she's going to go out there selling sex and making money off it (and influencing millions of teenagers who follow her on social media to do the same), I'll reserve my right to call a spade a spade.

How do some people not find this girls's behavior repulsive? Look who her role models are... look who she's emulating... she's only a kid and she's already posting provocative photos (which I'm pretty sure when her sister Kim surfaced she was at least already of legal age, this kid is beating her to the punch)... is it really so far-fetched to say she would leak a sex tape once she's legal? It would be great if she surprised me and didn't make one... but I don't see her money-grubbing mother putting her children's well-being first and not using her as a pawn on the path to world domination..... I guess only time will tell.

KlingKlang, yes you're right, boys should be brought up to respect women but girls should also be brought up to respect themselves. Nothing about this girl's actions says she has any amount of respect for herself. What in the world does a 17 year old girl have in common with a man in his 20s who has a two year old child?

ETA: at 17 she should be thinking about her future, her goals should be her education, she should be applying to colleges.. not involving herself with a grown man with a child and (presumably) getting elective cosmetic enhancements. Sorry, but this family is filth.

I completely agree with this. As a mother of a boy, he will be taught to respect women - no matter how they dress/look. BUT I will also teach him that there are certain girls you stay away from because they could get you the wrong type of attention. Be polite and respectful, but don't get involved with certain types of people (both guys and girls).

I think people are missing the point here -
The point being, that she is 17 years old.
WHY does a 17 yer old GIRL have to be dressed like THIS IN ORDER TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT HERSELF ???? !!!
Why does she have to have a full face of over the top makeup, hair extensions, 5" heels and a skin tight dress to look and FEEL beautiful and 'comfortable' ??
and WHY is this an appropriate and celebrated 'look' for a 17 year old GIRL ???

If she was 25 and going to a club - go for it. She looks HOT.

But she's not, she's 17. She should be in a freaking cheer uniform or a marching band uniform or in jeans and a tshirt and converse for God's sake - instead she's strutting around EVERY SINGLE DAY dressed like this .........
Why does a 17 year old girl have to try SO HARD to look like she's 25?

Kylie Jenner

For anyone interested, tmz posted a vulgar video Kylie posted today. Very gross to me and...sad that she didn't have a normal childhood or teenage age years.

Ireland Baldwin wrote a letter to her baby sister when she was born regretting how fast she herself grew up and advising her sister not to. Reminds me of Kendall and Kylie too.

I wonder that myself, but honestly I think lately if they weren't discussed here daily this whole forum would just shrivel up and become extinct. I feel like the Kardashians are the only thing keeping LIF around anymore lol. Sad.

I never use the word slut on here or IRL, I do not like the word at all.

not sure why pp are talking about her sex life since no one knows if she is or is not having sex and her being dressed in that manner does not mean she is having sex.

Majority seem to want them to go away, for people to stop glorifying them good n bad, but why then are they discussed here daily? Chat Icon

I wonder that myself, but honestly I think lately if they weren't discussed here daily this whole forum would just shrivel up and become extinct. I feel like the Kardashians are the only thing keeping LIF around anymore lol. Sad.

I hear ya. I much preferred the Kardashian ban we had - i got a kick out of it when LIF starred out their names like curse words Chat Icon Chat Icon

As much as I find them ridiculous .. They don't have a normal life but it's probably normal to them. They are rolling in dough- all of them. And they get what they want each time anyone mentions them, writes about them, jokes about them, etc. Myself included .. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Say what you want about them but I'm shocked they are still relevant though. It's been awhile, when you think about it! They sure have some magical abilities.

NY age of consent is 17. I think some states it's 16?
CA is 18.

I took Ayne's post to mean her mother allows her to travel to other countries to have sex where the legal age of consent is 17 or younger... insanity!.... that's why I hope she was joking or hopefully I misread it lol...

It is 16 in my state and 16 or 17 in most states. Only 18 in a handful of states.

Except I disagree with you on one point: Many days she is dressed MUCH worse.

Not joking, that's what I read... as Wendy Williams would say she "allegedly" does this so Tyga isn't technically a rapist... Let's be real, if a 17 year old became pregnant with a 25 year olds baby, it would be a spin off show with these assholes.

Ah I gotcha Ayne!

That video someone posted up above - the recent one - is gross.

And did anyone see the things she posted about her in apparent black face ? And she said she wished she looked like that all the time ?

I saw the blackface comments and photo - people are so quick to get offended. She looked like an alien IMO - since when is metallic body paint & digitally enhanced blue eyes considered blackface?

It's sad she wants to look like that. At the very least, she wants to be Armenian like her half sisters.
