The Fault in Our Stars
I read the book so I knew what to expect but in this case, for some reason, seeing the movie hit me hard. Its not often that I say the movie was as good as the book.

Re: The Fault in Our Stars
I read the book right around the time I was diagnosed with cancer. I started it just before the diagnosis, I think...and continued it as I went through the most emotional few weeks of my life.
But the book didn't make me collapse into a sobbing heap like the movie did. Maybe because I could relate TOO much to the book that I disconnected to protect myself?
I don't know.
The movie, though...oh my god, does it break my heart into pieces.
I watched it on a plane coming home from Amsterdam. Okay? Okay.

That movie is so sad!
I did the ugly cry for the movie 'About Time' that movie was incredibly sweet and incredibly brutal to watch.

The Fault in Our Stars
I read the book, so I knew what to expect but I felt like I was crying through most of it. At the end, I was sobbing audibly.

I think the movie was so well cast. The actors really made the movie.

I was watching part of it this afternoon at my moms but had to stop because I had to cook dinner. I really want to see the rest, but this thread is making me sad...lol

Re: The Fault in Our Stars
I won't watch it because I can tell from the previews that it's really depressing. There are enough sad things out there, I don't need extra! I avoid these types of movies.

The Fault in Our Stars
I haven't seen it yet, but reading these comments reminds me of the Mandy Moore movie, A Walk to Remember.
That movie makes me cry every time

Re: The Fault in Our Stars
I read the book as well and went into the movie thinking that I wouldn't be as emotional because I already knew the ending. But yea... no.... Ugly cry to the fullest. I don't think I've ever cried that hard during a movie.
