I thought it was extremely distasteful that Melissa McCarthy played the role of Chris Farley's Matt Foley. May he RIP.

Really? I thought it was great and spot-on! I took it more as a tribute to Chris Farley and the Matt Foley character, because that character was such an iconic one for that era of SNL...much like how Emma Stone portrayed Gilda Radner's Roseanne Rosannadanna. Melissa McCarthy is obviously influenced by Farley's characters and method of acting...Emma Stone is an ambassador for Gilda's Club. To me, both were perfect fits to pay tribute to those comedians.

ITA! I thought they both did an awesome job. Great tribute and I think they would've loved it.

I personally thought both were awful and felt they didn't do either character justice. I felt there could've been a better way to pay tribute than an awful reprise of such iconic characters.

Ill be honest. I was a little disappointed. Chat Icon Just like most recent SNL skits; I just sat there not finding laughter in much. I love Steve Martin and he's probably the only one that got me to laugh.

I was hoping to see Cherie Oteri; the Cheerleader that used to be Will Ferrels sidekick. Loved her.

All in all I just thought it was 3 hours of constant quick minutes of fame for previous actors. Was hoping to see Eddie Murphy do something but he didnt. And while I love Adam Samberg; I hated the song skit with Adam Sandler.

I also found the ending of their Memoriam in bad taste when they included Jon Lovitz. I found zero humor in that.

Yeah I don't know. Missed the mark for me. It was too "Broadway" and less SnL for me

Too many musical skits too.

And the way they organized things seemed out of order

Agreed.

There were a few good moments, but it could've been better.

I did think Miley was awesome.

Kanye was an arse as usual- WTF with those creepy contacts? The Wayne' World skit poking fun at him was pretty funny.
