Work Out & Friends to Lovers Greg Plitt Died

Reality TV fans and members of the fitness community are mourning the loss of Greg Plitt, who died Saturday. The fitness model and actor was pronounced dead on the scene after being struck by a Metrolink train in Burbank, Calif. He was 37.

Plitt is best known for appearing on Bravo's reality series Work Out. His episode on Bravo's new series Friends to Lovers is a few weeks away.

Plitt "was as nice as he was beautiful," tweeted Andy Cohen. "We couldn't take our eyes off Greg Plitt after we cast him on "Work Out"... (he) seemed invincible, like Superman," wrote the Bravo producer.


Sgt. Chris Canales of the Burbank police told USA TODAY that Plitt died at approximately 4:05pm local time. "For some reason he was on the track, and he was struck by the train," said Canales.

A train passenger told ABC7that Plitt, who has shot workout videos on train tracks before, had a camcorder in his hand when he was hit. Police confirmed to People, "A camera was seized as evidence," however it's unclear whether the camera was Plitt's. The incident is still under investigation.

A Bravo spokesperson told USA TODAY, "This is a very sad tragedy. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with Greg's family and friends."

Dont know who he is but man he has a beautiful body ....what a strange accident. Rest in peace handsome.

its awful, worked on many campaigns with him at work (he was a sponsored athlete for my company). Such a huge loss.

I watched him on Bravo's Work Out years ago and was excited to get to watch him on Friends to Lovers...so sad..he was always so nice to everyone (at least on TV) and was also a US veteran. :/
