Repost from pregnancy- team green ladies!!
Are there any cool ways to announce gender in the hospital? I kind of missed out on having a whole gender reveal (if we found out I probably would have had a small party), so I wanted the reveal in the hospital to still be kind of special. Did you do anything different, unique to announce to family members and your friends?

I've been Team Green 3x and was in the hospital 2x during my Team Green sister's births and honestly, it just doesn't get any more special than the old-school "It's a BOY!" and "It's a GIRL!" I know people today are all about the theatrics, but I'd say the birth of a team green baby as it is is as exciting as it gets in the hospital!

Repost from pregnancy- team green ladies!!
Sadly, I have no recollection of announcing the gender. I had an emergency cs in the middle of the night so no one was there and everything was really hectic. I guess we must have called our parents from recovery but I really don't remember for some reason- I wasn't out of it or anything so I don't know why I can't remember. We didn't pick a name for several hours so that was a whole separate announcement which I don't really remember much of either. We didn't have anything special planned so I don't know what we would have done had things gone differently.

Re: Repost from pregnancy- team green ladies!!
We were team green and we had a bunch of family waiting out in the waiting area. We all thought I would be having a boy so when a girl came out I was so happy and surprised that I screamed at the doctor asking "It's a girl??!!" so loud that everyone heard in the waiting room before DH could come out and share the news. We all laugh about it now, but I am going to try and contain myself for the next baby so DH can get the experience of sharing it.

I always thought it was special being team green just for that reason. The big gender reveal is the anticipation.

This. I was team green with # 1 and all DH had to do was walk into the waiting room and say IT'S A BOY! and everyone went crazy!

I think I also meant for Facebook reasons too! To let my friends know who can't be at the hospital. How did you tell them?!

Have someone at the hospital videotape the announcement at the hospital and post the video on Facebook. That would be awesome. I would love to see kevs excitement on video.

Friends who were team green just texted a pic of the baby and "it's a ___!" Not sure what else is needed to be done

Don't forget the "it's a ___". Sounds silly, but DH sent a mass text out to all of our friends and extended family who were not in the waiting room, and it was just a picture with length, weight, time...no name or sex. A couple of people responded Congrats! What is it??

I totally agree.
I was team green 3 times. Everyone was on the edge of their seats so the anticipation was already killing everyone.
