Giada De Laurentiis Enjoys Night Out with Bobby Flay Before Announcing Divorce
Just before announcing her split from husband Todd Thompson, Giada De Laurentiis enjoyed a festive dinner with fellow Food Network star Bobby Flay in Miami Beach.
The chefs, who are longtime friends, were spotted dining at Cecconi's in the private Soho Beach House Saturday night after working together at a local event.
Both seemed in a good mood and enjoyed a spirited dinner with drinks.
"They were laughing and talking and enjoying the fabulous weather," a source tells PEOPLE. "Neither seemed to have a care in the world."
On Monday, De Laurentiis, 44, announced her split from Thompson, a fashion designer with whom she shares daughter Jade, 6½.
Thompson was the first to file for divorce. De Laurentiis responded shortly after on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE. The papers state that the couple separated in July, and they are requesting joint legal and physical custody of their daughter.
Chef entrepreneur Flay, 50, who owns Bobby's Burger Palace in Miami, is married to actress Stephanie March.
