What do you think of this travel crib?

Saw this the other day in BBB and really liked how compact it was. I was thinking it might be nice for my parents' house (I registered for a regular pack n play for our house). My mom looked at it and thought it seemed kind of small. I thought they'd appreciate that. Is it too small? Babies can only really use pack n plays / cribs until they are about 30 lbs right? Should I just register for two pnps or what do you think of this? THANKS!!

I think its to small. I had given my parents a small pack and play for DS and it did not last long. A regular pack and play can be used for a long time. They can even use it to nap and play in like a play pen when they get a little older. There are 2 levels to the pack and play so when they are newborn they can sleep high and then you lower it when they start to move around.

What do you think of this travel crib?
The baby bjorn travel crib is the best. It has an actual mattress which goes on the floor, not a bar so the weight max is higher and you could use it for more years. It's super light and sets up in one motion. We even fly with it in a big suitcase and dd's clothes and stuff on top.

It's very small. You won't get much long time use out of it.

I would get a regular pack n play for their house.
It can be folded up when you aren't using it. This is too small and a waste of money.

Small. It has a max weight of 15 lbs. If you have a big baby it won't last long at all

Another question - there are so many different pack n plays!! Any reccs? We just want the basics, no newborn napper, vibrations, sound machine. I have three on my registry list right now and can hardly tell the difference between them, haha

What do you think of this travel crib?
It's small almost comparable to a bassinet in size. I was looking at those when I was pregnant with DD. Ultimately got a bassinet and a rock and play. Dd hated both; actually she would nap in the rock n play but I couldn't get her to sleep in it at night.

Yes, DD isn't a fan when we travel. But I pad it up under the sheet with a blanket to soften if for her a bit. It definitely helps.

What do you think of this travel crib?
My mom basically bought all of the things for her house that I had at my house (pack and play, high chair, exercauser, rock and play) and at first I thought she was crazy, but it's been a huge help not having to lug those things, and now three babies have gotten use out of them so she got her $ worth.
For all big ticket items I'd grab the baby bargains book and go to BBB. Check them out in person. You don't need the highest end of everything, but some things you will appreciate having more options with. For example, my DD1 loved the vibrating option on the pack and play, and she slept in it for three months so it was worth it to me to have that.

I'd just get a regular pnp.. later on you might be glad it's a little bigger & the regular pnp is very portable.

What do you think of this travel crib?
We ended up with 3 PNP. One for my sitters house. One for my bedroom for when we are getting ready in AM and one for my Moms. That PNP looks really small. I would go with one of the more roomy ones for grandmas house. They will need the room to play in as they get a little older. My DD sits in hers and plays at my Moms when my parents need a break from chasing her.

Crashing - I actually used that one (or one verrry similar) as a bassinet for quite a while next to my bed with DD before I moved her into the crib and I loved it. It will definitely be too small as a long-term pack and play though.

Same... I loved it with DS and am using it with DD when she's born as my bassinet for my duration of BFing. I found it to be super convenient and comfortable for baby. I also have a pack n play for the living room but it's too big to keep in the room beside my bed.

Is she using it for naps?
My kids never played in a pack and play.
If it's for naps & sleep, ikea makes very highly rated cribs that turn into toddler beds. They cost just a bit more that a pack n play.
