kids bedroom furniture - where to get?

Where did you get bedroom furniture for your kids? We are looking to get DD a new bedroom set because the new baby will go into her old room and she's getting a brand new room. She's 3. White furniture. We don't want to spend a ton. We looked in Bob's, Raymour, Ashley, and online at like 23423 sites. We were not impressed with the quality (for the price) of anything we saw in person.

Thanks!

Re: kids bedroom furniture - where to get?

A lot of the bonavita and munire sets have add on headboards. They are all at BBB and you can use coupons. It's baby/child furniture. It's pretty well made and with coupons, not $$. We have their Bonavita baby dressers and hutch and will just add white headboards from wherever when they go into twin beds.

They have more in the stores. I don't think it was all listed on site. I just went in and asked what also came in white. We only bought furniture from there. Cribs are from Target.

Re: kids bedroom furniture - where to get?

Honeslty - if I could do it again I'd go to Ikea.

DS #1's is from Behr's - Stanley
DS #2's is from Pottery Barn

Niether have been abused - my kids don't play in their rooms, didn't chew/bite on anything, climb on anything etc - and DS #1's furniture looks like sh*t - the finish, it's scratched SO easily, the drawers aren't very deep and aren't on casters so if something is 'off' it's not easily fixed -
DS #2's is similar -

My bedroom is from Ikea - Chat Icon - We bought it as 'for now' furniture, and honestly? I have no plans to change it any time soon - it looks the best, has the deepest drawers, and was obviously considerably less $$$$

Furniture is one of those things that you absolutely do NOT 'get what you pay for'

We got DDs bed frame and dresser at IKEA. The price was right and it looks nice in her room.

Re: kids bedroom furniture - where to get?

got DD's set from BRU, it was DS's before that and it has held up beautifully.

didn't have a lot of $ when shopping for DS's new furniture...bought a dresser from Hayneedle for SUPER cheap and were very surprised that the quality was so nice. That was over a year ago now and it's still in excellent condition and we really like it a lot. It looked just as nice to me, if not nicer, than a lot of the other stuff we saw at crazy prices.

I agree.

My DS has a bed from IKEA (with storage under) and our bedroom set is from IKEA. The dressers are holding up fine but finally after 10+ years the bed frame needs to be replaced.
