Why are some baby clothes so expensive!
I have a thanksgiving and a Christmas outfit saved in my Macy's cart and I've been stalking them. The thanksgiving outfit was $60 but it dropped to $20 so I grabbed it. The Christmas outfit is $70. Maybe I'm cheap but I think that's a rediculous price for a 1 year old outfit.

No way would I spend $70 on a baby outfit.
ESPECIALLY a baby outfit that they are going to wear once. Because after Christmas is over let's face it, they won't wear that dress again.

Do what I do. Don't dress them in outfits. To me its just a holiday not a Ball!!!!! They will never remember and really who is going to say "OMG you didn't put your child in a holiday outfit" And if they did I'd just tell them to F off!!!

To some people $70 is nothing for a 1 time wear. To others its a splurge and reasonable. I spent $40 ea on the last 2 year's easter dresses and find it  since I need 2. This years xmas dresses are nwt for $20ea so I'm making up for it. Score!

I agree. I refuse to spend a lot on baby clothes because they grow out of it so quickly. I only buy christmas stuff that's already been hugely discounted! Craziness!

I NEVER spend that much on a holiday outfit BUT I do really love putting them in something extra special for the holidays. When else do you have a en excuse to put them in cute, fancy clothes?
That being said, I wait for the sales and use coupons. I always get REALLY cute dresses for my DD and I've never spent more than around $25............and these are dresses that were over $60-70 initially. Just keep an eye out, you'll find something. Zuliliy is already starting to carry Xmas dresses, some are beautiful. I got DD's there two years ago. Since Xmas is far enough away you have time to wait around for Zulily since their shipping times usually are pretty long.

They have really cute, fancy stuff, at really cheap prices if you have the 30 off, etc

Oh yeah - that will definitely drop.
I bought the same style/brand for my DD's first Christmas and I got it in store early - and it was less than $20.
I think I got it in like October.

Thank you. I'd prefer to by from Macy's since I have had problems with clothes I've bought from Amazon stores before. Wonder if Macy's would price match.

I don't like to spend more than 25-30 special occasion clothing for my kids. I am sure it will be put on sale. The other thing I do is if there is something I love I wait for the super sales an buy a size bigger for wearing next year.

I actually JUST bought that same one for DD from Macy's last week. I had a 20% coupon so it made it slightly more palatable to spend that much on it. But then I found another on Zulily that I like just as much for $15 so I ordered that and will probably return the Macy's one. It's my DD's first Christmas, so I want her to be in something I love, for her christmas cards, Santa pic, and Christmas day. On a normal everyday outfit though, I would never spend that much.
