How old was your DD for her first haircut?

DD is 15 months and has crazy hair. I don't want to cut it because its long enough to put it back, out of her face. DH thinks we should get it cut now to even it up and cut her bangs. I was just curious how old your DD was when you first got it cut. Thanks!!

14 months. i did not want her to have bangs so we only cut the length.

Dd is 22 months and so far I have only trimmed her bangs when necessary to keep them out of her eyes since she refuses to wear clips to keep them back. I'm leaving the rest of her hair for now.

The first time I trimmed her bangs she was 10 months.

1 year but she had a to. Of hair and one piece in front was super long lol. I had it evened out.

I went again around 2 and they cut her bangs. She did it so fast and on her own I didn't want bangs. I never went back there lol ( that was in Boston). It's still growing out. She's 4 now and all we cut is length. We just cut it the other day. Her hair is super long so we just cut length.

I personally would not cut bangs. They are a pain. They either have to be clipped back or cut every few weeks or so. It would bother ME if hair was in her eyes all the time.

Cutting it will help it grow a bit and a little thicker but I don't think it's necessary unless it's knotty or something

Dd is 27m and I still have not cut her hair! It's very curly so it's still super short... And I just move her bangs to the side

DD is 23 months and has some wild hair too, but I haven't cut it yet. I'm afraid that when I do she'll lose her crazy curls, which I love.

My first DD was about 15mo. I rushed it. She had straight wispy fine hair and after the cut it looked polished and thicker and it took forever to grow out.

My second DD is 16mo and we haven't cut it yet and don't plan to until it's long. I push her bangs to the side and use barrette as long as she'll keep them in. Her hair is just like my older DD's was.

DD was 3. It grew nicely and around 3 it needed a trim.

Taking DD for her first this week... she is 2 weeks short of 4 years old I have been trimming her hair all this time...

DD was 2.5. Her hair was still short but I had it cut to freshen up the ends and get some shape to it. Just took her again a couple weeks ago now that she's 3 to have it cleaned up again and it looks so much better.

Both of my kids were born with tons of hair. They had their first hair cut at about 3 months old for the bangs and about 5 months old for the rest of the hair.

DD is 2.5 and hasn't had her hair cut yet! DH has been bugging me to cut her hair since she was a year old but her hair has adorable curls and is not unruly so I don't see the point. Maybe we'll go for her 3rd bday!

I think it all depends on their hair - DD1 was over 2, but she has long, curly hair and the curls hid the fact that it was uneven. DD2 has straight hair, and I am thinking of cutting it soon (she is almost 16 months) - she has one long piece in the back, and it needs to be evened out.

dd is 18 months and im not ready to cut her hair. DH keeps asking when want to cut it and i have no answer for him. I agree with you - if you can keep it out of her face keep it long. dd hates headbands and hairclips - pulls them both right out and then gets frustrated that the hair is in her face. the only thing that works is ponytails so we will keep it long for as long as possible

DD1 was 7 months because she was born with a full head of hair and it was out of control. She was full on top, had a line across the middle from moving her head back and forth in the crib and then a full on mullet on bottom.



DD2 was 8 months, she has the same crazy hair as her big sister!

I cut thin bangs for both my girls before a year. I started training their hair to part. I would either do pigtails or 1/2 up 1/2 down until their hair grew longer for pong tails and braids.

My oldest just had her first hair cut at almost 4. We trimmed the back since it was touching her butt.
