Nursery curtains

In our new home, dd's window is over a radiator so I'm reluctant to get floor-level drapes. Yet I want a blackout effect for the window. Any ideas on type of curtain to use and where to find them? Don't want to spend a fortune! Thank you!

Maybe try black out blinds with sheers and put hooks so you can pull them back in the winter to let the heat through

You could always get the long ones and just hem them to right above the heater. I just bought curtains at Target for DD's nursery and this is what I plan to do.

Nursery curtains

I have floor level drapes in my entire house and the radiator is under all the windows. It have never once gotten hot enough to do any kind of damage or fire etc.
