Neil Patrick Harris's Fiancé Is Quite the Gift Giver
That Neil Patrick Harris is one lucky guy — and not just because he's a triple threat who shows up everywhere from the movie screen to the Broadway stage.
Harris, 41, has a fiancé who is really knows how to pick the perfect gift. In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the former How I Met Your Mother star revealed the latest present he received from David Burtka when he was asked to name his favorite accessory.
"For our 10-year anniversary [on March 31], my husband, David got me a diamond Cartier Love necklace," said Neil, who hasn't yet officially wed Burtka, with whom he shares 3-year-old twins Harper and Gideon. "It's got two interlocking circles — one with diamonds and one in white gold. It's fantastic. Though, I do also love a good tie bar."
A piece such as the one that NPH described retails at a $4,600 on the luxury jeweler's website. Cartier, specifically the Cartier Love Collection established in the 1970s, is popular with celebrities such as Demi Lovato, who once said she would like a Love bracelet for her birthday, and Kylie Jenner, who's been known to wear the pieces in some of her many selfies.
Burtka, 39, has a history of selecting incredible presents. For Harris's 40th birthday last year, the actor-turned-chef planned an elaborate scavenger hunt for his partner. He surprised NPH with a party two months before his actual birthday that kicked off a week-long, cross-country adventure that required eight months of planning. Along the way, Harris found himself training with Cirque du Soeil in Las Vegas; tackling a ropes course in San Antonio, Texas; sleeping in Cinderella's Castle at Walt Disney World; and watching Burtka serenade him with the song "Open Arms" at a venue in NYC. At one point, Harris was even stopped by a cop who, instead of a ticket, gave him a clue.
"It was just like the coolest, most unbelievably terrifying and awesome birthday adventure ever," Harris told Ellen DeGeneres in May 2013. "Thank you, David Burtka. You're rad."
In addition to the Cartier Love necklace, Harris talked to Vanity Fair about his favorite article of clothing (underwear) and his unexpected favorite fragrance (Abercrombie & Fitch's Fierce, although he dislikes the name).
When asked about his style icon, the father of two explained that he prefers a sophisticated style.
"I angle toward a classic look," he told the magazine. "Gene Kelly was perfection. I also love the Alfred Hitchcock aesthetic — clean, fitted, timeless. Tom Ford makes absolutely fantastic clothes, too."

I love these guys, especially NPH, but that necklace looks like it is meant for a woman.
I agree.
And the way they wrote the article, I thought it would be something a lot more crazy or extravagant.
I mean, I am sure it was CRAZY insane expensive and it's nice and all, but I don't think it's worthy of an article.

I 100% agree.
I think it's VERY feminine, too feminine for a man, even if he is gay.

I agree. It's a gorgeous necklace but it is very feminine looking.
