Transitioning to Milk
DD just turned one and I'm dragging my feet on transitioning her to milk. I'm not worried about the actual process. I just plan on replacing some of her formula with milk until she's fully on milk.
I'm concerned because she drinks three good size bottles a day and I'm worried she won't do the same with milk. She's not great with table foods, although clearly has some favorites like fruit, so I still give her purées. I don't want her to miss out on the nutrients. How much milk should I be expecting her to drink?

Transitioning to Milk
I believe it's 23 oz a day. My dr always said not a big deal as long as getting some dairy cheese, yogurt etc.

Transitioning to Milk
my DS just turned 1 and we saw his ped on thursday. she said they should have between 10-16oz of milk a day and his nutrients should come from food. she said not to get too crazy with worrying about balanced food as long as over the course of a day or 2 they get fruits, veggies, carbs and protein. she also said do yogurt and cheese if milk isn't their thing.
ETA: she may surprise you......my DS was on 3 bottles a day and had no trouble going to a sippy of milk. i was worried too.

I could've written this post when DS was 1! He surprised us and was fine with the transition. We did it 2oz at a time. He took 3 full bottles of milk for a few weeks -30oz a day! And ate a decent amount. He now drinks 2 sippy cups worth of milk and is a better eater! Good luck.
