There are a few really fantastic moms groups on meetups.
If not for meetups and LIF I would only have 2 mom friends...
ETA not that I have an abundance now, but I have met a few through LIF and a bunch through meetups. I like pretty much everyone I have met through those two sites.

school ( Nursery,Preschool, and Elem.), mommy & me, neighbors.
Funny story, one of my best mommy friends is someone I went to middle school with. We weren't friends back then...I didn't really care for her at all  Never saw her again once we went to different high schools.
We bumped into each other at a local mommy and me and hit it off amazingly, as did all of our kids. Two years later she is one of my closest friends and our kids are inseparable.
