Recommend your car dealership/sales person!
My lease isn't up for another 10 months, but the dealership is hounding me for my car and will let me out of my current lease early w/o penalty. Since we moved, I was considering a new car anyways that gets better gas mileage, as my commute has almost doubled. Can your recommend your dealership and/or salesperson you dealt with? I'm not brand loyal and am open to anything. Looking for a salesperson that doesn't BS you -- I would like to sit down in front of someone and say "This is how much I want to spend a month, I am not putting any $$ down, and I would like X amount of miles annually". I'm not into the whole, "Let me talk to my manager, goes away to "secret" desk to present offer, comes back with counter offer" blah blah blah.
Thanks, everyone!

I really liked the dealer I used for my New lease... No BS... No bringing the manager over- my DH and him were on the same page and things went smoothly. Smithtown Nissan - Nolan Epps.. He even gave me and DH his cell and we've called him twice and he's always called back... Awesome!

xosweetie, thank goodness there are more people out there like that; it's the only way to shop for a car!
George Frouxides at Paul Conte Chevrolet. (516) 623-9600- AKA "big George" Please tell him Joe and Michelle from Oceanside sent you My kids refer to him as "uncle George". No meeting with a manager, fits your budget or tells you to come back when the incentives get better. and he will tell you when that should be. We couldn't be happier!

Re: Recommend your car dealership/sales person!
I can't remember the salesman I had but I went in with the same attitude to Security in Amityville where I leased my Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I walked out of there paying about $70 less a month for more mileage, and they also threw in the scratch/dent option and some of the oil changes have also been free.
Overall I am much more pleased than my last lease, but I also was experienced by then with leasing LOL.
Believe it or not, the Jeep GC is pretty good on gas.
I drove up state and back over the weekend and only used 1/4 tank and commute back and forth to Manhasset daily from SS Suffolk and haven't needed to fill up yet.....will probably do so today.
I have heard mixed feedback about Security though but I think dealerships are hit and miss.
I really would stay away from that whole strip in West Islip....Atlantic.
They were the worst and I hear nothing but bad no matter who I speak to.

In regards to Atlantic... I just left Atlantic Hyundai (couldn't stand them, or any local Hyundai dealer for that matter) and bought through Atlantic Honda. The difference was like night and day. I can't remember our sales guy's name but he was wonderful. A young Hispanic man with pictures of his kids all over his desk. Just had my first service with them last night (it was free) and I couldn't believe how quickly they got me in and out.

I work at Smithtown Acura and our store is run exactly the way you are describing. All the guys are very upfront and transparent. Theres no funny business here, which is part of the reason I still work here. That being said, I wouldnt send my worst enemy to Smithtown Nissan. I tried buying a car from them and I caught them doing all sorts of BS and they tried to lie to me about it when I confronted them on it. Ive leased from Atlantic Hyundai and had a good experience but that was 4 years ago. If you have any questions, feel free to FM me. Good Luck!

Don't know where you are located, but I recommend Stacy Barron at Great Neck Nissan. No BS, she' been in the business a long time, and I have family members going to her for years. I just dealt with her myself this year, nothing but good things to say.

Pat, an older Irish guy, at Port Jeff Jeep/Chrysler. I swear, the guy doesn't care if you buy a car or not. He just likes the socialization of it all.
