Bottle Questions- Cleaning and Heating Milk

I'm going to be a first time mom and I bought/ received a bunch of different bottles. What is the best way to clean them? By hand, dishwasher or boiling in a pot of water? If dishwasher, do you do top shelf only and if so, do you put anything else in the dishwasher or just do a load of baby stuff. Also, what's the best way to clean pacifiers?

I didn't register for a bottle warmer since most people told me it was not worth it. What is the best way to warm the milk?

I would give a quick hand wash and then boil. Now that I a back to work I give a quick hand wash and use the microwave sanitizer that is bpmade by the maker of the bottles I use. It was cheap and honestly, it saves me time that I don't have to spare.

To warm, I either don't and just take the bottle of wart out of the fridge with enough time to come to room temp or I heat up water in a coffee cup and stick my refilled bottle in the warm water. Never microwave the bottle.

I hand washed bottles in hot soapy water. I wouldn't mind putting them in the dishwasher but I didn't run my dishwasher often enough to keep up with all the bottles.
I used Playtex drop in so you could just throw the liner out and wash the nipples.

As far as pacifiers, hot soapy water daily and I would boil them on occasion to really sterilize them.

To warm formula I would just put the bottle in a large plastic mug of super hot tap water. I have very hot tap water in my kitchen so a few min in there would warm it up nice.

I hand wash in soapy water, when I know I'm running the dishwasher I put them in there, top rack with our dishes. I sterilize them once or twice a month. more with my first daughter. I have a microwave sterilizer but think that was a waste of money and use a large pot most of the time.

our tap water gets so hot, I just put it in a cup and warm the bottle up that way. sometimes I have to do it a few times.

(I do wash her clothes separately until she is about 1 and then they get mixed in with ours unless they are really dirty.

Bottle brush soap & hot water is how i clean bottles.
Dishwasher I found left lil bits of food on nipples * bottle creases
I heat cup of water in microwave & soak bottle of milk/formula in it.
I have used microwave to warm bottles when I was desperate ..only few seconds and swirl. But not regularly

Bottle brush with soap and water for bottles. I didn't like the "smell" the dishwasher gave them. But I always sterilized them before the fist use (after hand washing).

I also hand washed pacifiers and sterilized them when new and every few weeks.

Oh and we used bottled water at room temperature to mix formula. We didn't want her to get used to heated formula!

I heat ready to feed formula up in a glass bottle on the stop top in a small pot of water. I take out the bottle before the water starts to boil.

When DD is finished I wash the bottle with tap water and then quickly bring the water I used to heat up the formula to a boil and throw in the bottle and nipple and just let it boil for a few minutes.

Pacifier gets washed under hot tap water most of the time. I throw them into the water with the bottle once or twice a week for a better cleaning.

We used a microwave sterilizer to clean them the first time and on occasion we'll put the bottles in there. Otherwise we handwash or use the dishwasher.

We don't give DD warmed BM or formula - usually room temp or cold if we're in a rush. But we try to take the chill out by putting the bottle in a large cup of warm-hot water.

My ped warned us about heating plastics in the microwave, so I never did. Also, I don't like any plastics in the dishwasher because they always come out weird. It may be just me! I might be pickier.
My bff up in Ct. used to put hers (nipples and all) in the DW and I swear they got discolored and nasty. I also am a little skeeved about possible soap residue from in the machine staying inside the bottles.
So, even though I had twins, I hand washed them in soapy hot water with a brush and a nipple brush using 7th Gen dish soap. I still wash their sippy cups and plates like that too.
I also want to add that I'm not even close to being a germophobe or someone who boiled things to disinfect. I just don't trust plastics and chemicals. My opinion only

My house is on the cool side, so the room temp water was a little chilly. In the winter, I measured out the water in a glass pyrex measuring cup, nuked it for 20 seconds, then poured it into the bottles and mixed in formula powder. In the warmer months, I didn't heat the water.

I wash the pump parts, pacifiers, bottles and nipples in hot soapy water.

When DS gets bottles, they are either cold or room temperature. Like a PP said, we take the chill out by putting them in a cup of warm tap water for a few minutes. I prefer that DS is flexible and can take a bottle regardless of temperature.
