Period after c section and tubal ligation
Wasn't sure which board to ask this on.... My baby will be 10 weeks old this week and still no period. My doctor sounded pretty confident I will never be pregnant again and kept saying till the moment I was on the operating table that it won't be reversible, but I have read on line that there is a 1% failure rate. My last pregnancy was a surprise but that's why I decided to tie my tubes. Plus I can't take birth control pills or anything with hormones.
Is it normal to go this long? With my other 2 c sections I remember getting my period sooner maybe in the 6-9 week range.

Are you breastfeeding? I didn't get a period until 7 months pp after I stopped.

Exactly me too. I only got it 7 months pp after I completely stopped BFing. I wouldn't worry.

I had both and ds is 11 weeks. I just got my second per today. However my dr made it a point to say that every once in a while I need to take a pregnancy test if I don't get it because there is a chance of pregnancy.

10 weeks doesn't sound so long that I'd worry.

We still believe our 3rd got here by immaculate conception. I will feel much better once I get my period and then will likely follow my cycle for additional protection.
