Babbling/Words
My daughter just turned 8 months (7 months adjusted). She has been making MMMMMM sounds for about 2 months. She was doing maaaaaaaaaaa and now its a clear mama. However, she makes no ba or da sounds at all. She doesn't babble aside from the ma sounds and she basically yells all day- not that she's mad or unhappy, she's just very loud, lol. Anyone else's child do this? Should I be concerned? I called our ped today but he is away. TIA

At that age dd could have had a whole conversation with herself using just one syllable. Totally normal and totally cute.

i wouldn't worry. getting the mmmm sound is a big deal. she will get the b and d too. at her age i think that's normal.
