Clothing Size
What is the difference between 5T & size 4? DS is almost 5 but short for his height he can still fit into 4T. Don't know what size to get for the fall?

Re: Clothing Size
I thought the T sizes were to accommodate a diaper. Since sizes vary by brand, I just put similar items next to each other to see which was longer and wider. I always make my kids go through what they wore from last year. I call it "fashion show time." My son hates it, but if he can get away with wearing stuff from last year longer, I am thrilled. I still went from 4T to 5T and then to 5 or 6. My son is off the charts for height so I just got bigger stuff for him to grow into. I figure if the price was right, he would eventually wear it. We wear jeans 9 months of the year, so at some point it should fit.
ETA: DD will be 5 soon and she is wearing size 5, not 5T for pants, but she wears 4T or 5T for shirts. She wore size 5T when she wore size 4 regular. For the fall, I got her a mix of size 5 and size 6 (which she will likely wear in the winter or even the spring, but they won't still have pants when I need them in the next size for her.)
