If you used one of those car seat protectors on leather seats, for under the carseat -
Have you ever removed it and looked under? I got a new car, so I want to protect the seat. I just bought one of those SummerInfant car seat protectors for under the car seat but hoping that somehow can't damage the leather, or make mold grow or something under there. Anyone use them on leather seats?
edited - just read amazon reviews and just as I suspected, they can damage leather seats! taking this product right back.

It's not recommended to use after market products that weren't tested with your specific car seat.

Please do not use after market seat protectors. They have not been crash tested with your seat and can give a false sense of a tight install.

I use it, it's fine. I also use the back part of it for under my garbage can in my kitchen, it keeps my floor clean ahha

Just so you know, I don't use it, and my leather is fine. No need for it.

I am not sure the brand of your car seat but Britax sells one.

They are generally not recommended because, as ReiRei13 said, They can mask a bad install. They aren't going to do anything to protect your seat and a properly installed seat will not slide on leather. If you take your seats out every few months to let them "breathe" and condition your leather then it will last.
There are companies (Diono, Britax) that make mats that were tested and approved to use with their seats only BUT the same reasoning not to use them applies.
