blackout curtains for baby room

anyone LOVE their curtains and can recommend the brand or where you got them? I saw some in a few places but essentially the reviews aren't great and we really need the sun to be completely out vs some light coming through.
Thanks

I got mine in target, RE brand.
I have black ones in my living room and they completely block out all light.
I have pink ones in my bedroom and they give the room a soft pink glow when the sun is really bright.
The thicker the better.

I have the RE brand from Target in light green; I don't think they work very well. Like the pp said they do add a bit of a glow to the room; but not really good and blocking the sun out. I have Kohls brand in my room (in brown) and they're perfect. Have to look for kid colors my next trip there.

Re: blackout curtains for baby room

we just got black out curtains for both girls room, eclipse from target. we got pink and purple. they work really well. DD is 3yo and gets a lot of morning sun in her room. she had been waking up super early for a few weeks since we took her pacifier away. since we got the shades, she has been sleeping in at least a half hour later :)

I got black out blinds - I have valances in DS' room and the blinds (from Blinds To Go) work great - this way you can always change the window designs if you want! They are also good because they have no strings to get caught in - they are accordion shades!

We have the same and they work great. I have to open the blinds during the day or else it looks like the middle of the night in there.

Re: blackout curtains for baby room

I just returned ones to Target because they were terrible. Didn't really work at all. I'm not sure what brand they were, but they were specifically for kids rooms. Maybe that's why they didn't work very well. They were pink. Maybe a darker color would work better. But I am now on the hunt for something better as well. (and the package said it blocks 99% of light, and it definately did not).

I have navy blue Eclipse curtains in my DS room along with blinds. No light gets into his room. Without the blinds, the curtains would be ok, but definitely not blackout quality. I have thermal curtains in my dining room and living room from target that are better at blocking out light, but they no longer carry them.

We've gotten some at Walmart and Christmas Tree Shop. Both have held up great & were affordable!
