Dance leotards
Help! I totally dropped the ball and need a dance leotard and ballet slippers for my dd for tomorrow morning. I saw them at target but they only seem to start at size 4/5 she would need a size 2/3 or 3/4 (she's 2 1/2 yrs old) any ideas where else I can look last minute??

Re: Dance leotards
Try a dance store for the slippers and leotard. I also recommend tights from a dance store. The more expensive ones last longer than the cheaper ones.

Re: Dance leotards
I live in Suffolk, but I bet if you call your dance school they have at least one they recommend. My girls are always required to wear pink tights and black leotard, summer and winter, even from 2 years old, so I would ask.

Re: Dance leotards
My kids never had a dress code.
Payless has ballet shoes (although I hate them lol- they are good enough.)
I bought DD the XS at target and it was only a little big. She started at 2.5 also and is small for her age.
ETA: You could always just use a plain colored bathing suit or onesie with a tutu over it in a pinch

Re: Dance leotards
i was going to say the same thing the leotards run small at Target so an XS might fit. And the same with payless ballet shoes, I am always get a full size bigger.

Walmart has smaller leos in the big girl underwear aisle. Danskin, pink and black, and they start at XXS.

Kohls for the leotard. Don't get the shoes from Payless. They're so crappy. Check with your dance school. Mine has a store that sells everything. But I got DDs ballet shoes on Amazon. I wouldn't stress about having them for tomorrow. The first day at that age is really just an introduction. My DD didn't move off my lap for weeks when she started at the same age. No biggie if she doesn't have everything.
