Does anyone take their child?

I'm thinking of doing the baby & me class with my 4 1/2 month old but wanted to hear some reviews.

Do they have evening or weekend classes?

I'm probably closest to the Levittown center. Glad to see that they have them on weekends. My son loves the pool so I want to get him in lessons.

Saf T Swim has "free" lessons for babies 2-6 months old. It's a $75 deposit which you either get back at the end or use towards future individual lessons. DD LOVES them! We've gone almost every Saturday since May and she keeps going until September when she turns 6 months. She gets an individual lesson. They kick her legs, paddle her arms, float her on her back. Every week something new! I'm so happy I enrolled her. We will probably continue lessons after 6 months.

So you don't have to get in the pool w/ them?
Glad that they have Saturday sessions. Maybe I will go by there on my lunch.

Nope! They have a room for parents to watch. The one we go to is open Saturdays and Sundays.

Re: Saf-T-Swim

I started taking DS at 7 months. We did the mommy and me and I was in the water with him. It was a great class (Bellmore location with Tom). I was so happy with it that we did the "Down Under" mommy and me after.

Following that we enrolled him in 1-1 lessons at about 9 months. He's making great progress and has (at 18 months) started to kick on his own, attempt blowing bubbles, and jumps in and turns to wall to climb out (their BIG safety instruction piece).

Highly recommend!
