Getting rid of Optimum?
Hi ladies,
I live in the town of Brookhaven, where I believe Optimum is our only choice for TV.
We are trying to save $ for maternity leave, and want to not pay almost $200/ month for this!
Does anyone know what the cheapest options are for TV, WiFi, and house phone? I believe its been mentioned about streaming tv over tablet/ Nabi, etc. How does that work?
Any input would help!
Thanks so much!!!

Call them up and say the dreaded four letter F- word ... FIOS
They will probably give you a discount (though only for about a year before it goes back up).

Re: Getting rid of Optimum?
Fios doesn't come by us. optimum or a dish is the only option here. we got rid of cable with them, just have internet service (still close to 75 a month just for internet) and we have amazon instant, hulu and netflix for TV.

Re: Getting rid of Optimum?
We got rid of cable a while ago. It was the BEST decision we ever made. We use Hulu/Netflix/Amazon now. I would not go back to cable if it were free.
