Another sunscreen question- Does your sunscreen 'stain' your furniture?
We use California Baby (have yet to try any of the other 'natural' sunscreens) and we have issues with it staining furniture. It leaves a greasy white film that is very difficult to remove on our leather couch, on the seats/doors of the car, on our patio set, on our polywood Adirondack chairs, on the swings, etc. Basically, anything you touch/sit on after applying it.
Are we the only ones who have this problem? Is this an issue with all sunscreens, natural sunscreens or just California Baby? I never really used sunscreen aside from the beach until my kids came along so I don't have any experience with using it so frequently.
DH keeps telling me to try a different brand but I have a feeling this is just a general sunscreen (or at least a natural sunscreen) problem.

I have not had that issue. This post actually reminded me that DD put two hand prints on top of my entry table yesterday and left 8 white fingerprints that I forgot to clean up. I just used all purpose spray and they came right off. We use water babies pure and simple and babyganics.

Well sunscreen I. General stains. But mine , avenno baby, doesn't seem to "run off" on anything once it's rubbed and absorbed in. Not that I've noticed anyway.
Does this happen no matter how long after you apply it? Or is it right after? Maybe not rubbing it in enough? Sunblock does come right off if they get wet soon after application too

I think it happens mostly soon after it's applied. I do think it seems to "dry" after a while and doesn't have as greasy of a feel. I do try to rub it in but I have squirmy kids and just getting it on them is enough of a hassle so they don't let me have much time to get it as rubbed in as I'd like.
I guess I will just try to keep them away from anything that they might stain, which I do but it's hard to make a 1 year old and 3 year old sit still for more than 2 seconds.

Hahaha. Yes those ages are tough. I would try and have them stay away from stuff for a bit longer until it absorbs in. See if that helps.

I use the spray sunblock and I have found that if I apply it inside it always leaves a slippery spot on the floor. I try and apply it on our front porch or in the garage (we usually leave through the garage) so that we have a few min for it to soak in but it doesn't leave any marks on the floor or furniture.
