Hyatt Place in Mystic with 16 month old

Would this be a good hotel to bring her to for 2 nights while we visit the seaport and aquarium? How close it it?

Its a short drive. We went before kids, but we liked it. We will probably stay there again when our kids are older. Its also like a 1 block drive or walk to the village shops which are nice. We ended up driving and parking though.

Yes absolutely! We brought DD there when she was about 7 or 8 months old and stayed at the Hyatt Place. I liked it because it has a separate sitting area and it was a great place to set up the pack n play for her. From what I remember the hotel is within walking distance to the Aquarium and very close to shops and restaurants. You would have to drive to get to the seaport but it's very close.

We just did that about a month ago (DS was 18 months). It was a good hotel and, like PP said, there is a separate sitting area. That said, it's not really separate enough that you could watch tv in one area and have the baby sleep in the other. We were able to whisper to one another without waking him up, but generally we just went to sleep early.

It's about 5 minute walk to the village shops and aquarium (make a right out of the hotel, and then another right at the first street - it'll be on your right).

We also went to Mystic Seaport (not walking distance) and walked around the main street with the drawbridge.

I just stayed there in April with my Twins (14 months at the time) and my 6 years old. It worked out great, and they were VERY accommodating for us. WE will return next year

I forget where we stayed. I don't think it was the Hyatt. We still walked everywhere.

Mystic Seaport confused us. LOL. We kinda just wandered around the boatyard place - we didn't know how to get anywhere else with a stroller. Hahahahahahahahaha. So we didn't eat at any of the great restaurants.

I LOVED the aquarium. It was so clean.

I do remember that we left around noon on a Friday and it took us FIVE EFFING HOURS to get there.

If we ever go again, we'll prob take the ferry or leave at the crack of dawn.

eta: I think it was booked otherwise we would have stayed there. It got great reviews and it's literally right next door to the aquarium. I think we took DD when she was 13 months. You'll love it.

We are going Tuesday-Thursday and plan to leave right after she eats breakfast so she can nap on the way there. We are going during the week so they did have rooms available.
