Juice/milk flying questions...

I know I can bring milk for DS through security. Can I bring unopened bottled water for him? Or will they take that and make me buy after security? And if he has a sippy with water in it already is that ok? Or are their liquid rules just in regards to milk/foruma?

I was going to bring 2 bottles of milk for him (about 10-12oz) and his sippy with water. I don't mind having to buy the water after security if necessary...

With juice. he hardly gets it; but if I have a juice box is that ok? I know snacks and food are all ok.

Thanks!!

I've never done anything but a closed water bottle. I think anything else they may not approve. Obviously formula or BM is fine. I wouldn't take any chances with juice boxes. Anything else you can buy after you go through security.
From the time we get to the airport and get our tix, etc time flies and there's no reason to give the LO's something that can wait a few minutes. Especially if there's a chance they'll take and toss anyway.

Thanks!! I was wondering about the water in the sippy. I usually buy a large water for myself anyway so that is fine. I'll bring the empty sippy; and he probably won't even need the juice anyway.

The last time we flew with DD, I honestly forgot that we had water in her sippy and we got through security just fine. It probably will depend on the airport/the TSA agent checking your stuff, but we had no issues whatsoever!

I just flew last weekend and we had a full sippy of ice water and an unplowed Poland spring bottle and they didn't even glance at it.

In my experience flying with a child...they let you do whatever you want. I've never been asked about anything and have flown with DD about 6 times.

I usually take juice packs and Yogurt drinks and they don't say anything. Water I usually just buy through security.
