Looking for a clean gymnastics place for my 2 year old
I want to sign up my daughter for a summer program. We did Debbie's Gym in Holbrook last year and I wasn't overly impressed with the facility. We went to a birthday party at Gold Medal in Centereach and wasn't impressed either. Only place that felt super clean and organized was All American Gymnastics, but it's in Oceanside.
Can anyone recommend a nice gymnastics place to take her in eastern Suffolk. Around Farmingville area.

Gym-nest in Medford. I went to 2 birthday parties there and it was the nicest gym I've been in.

That one looks really nice. Reminds me of the one in Oceanside. So many of these places stink and are dirty. They only have 9am classes for a 2 year old in the summer. DD sleeps til 9:30. Hopefully they add some times. Thanks!!!

Went to Julie's over the weekend for the first time (groupon) and was not impressed at all... Yes, my dd is 2, but they like barely engaged her... It was like a free for all on the equipment. Not to mention it reeked and just seemed dirty... I babysit a girl who attended gymnest for a few yrs... Very nice place and the teacher was phenomenal (ms tori). Such nice staff too... And the gym is huge and teacher was able to keep kids on task and not running off in 10 directions

9 out of 10 gymnastics gyms smell like feet to me. I'm more concerned with what they are teaching my child, etc. We now attend another gym since that one was a hike from where we moved to, and she has moved onto team level, but I would def. try out Julie's.

We loved Julie's too. I've taken 3 year old DD to 3 different places and they were all the same, basically free play with simple instruction - and they all smelled. DD actually learned the most at Julie's, and she was under 2 when she went there. She received far more instruction there than the other more expensive places. Gymnastics for 2 year olds is not instruction, having a degree in Phys Ed I know it's next to impossible to keep kids that young on task, and it's unacceptable to make them wait in lines. Movement exploration, or "free play", is what is developmentally appropriate for that age. Just something to consider.
Gym-nest is fantastic, but I would not pay the money unless DD was really into it, definitely not until she was much older. It is way more expensive than other places, but justifiably.

This is where I bring DD. I pulled her out of Gold Medal after going for 2 years and they still had not taught her to do a cartwheel! Love GymNest! And it was actually recommended to me by a mom who lives upstate...she come to LI for a competition at GymNest and was impressed with their whole set up.

Mine expires end of this month... I'll go again, but I don't see me going back after the groupon is up... The problem I had was that they would help the first child with an exercise, but then all the others were on their own...  it was like I was observing the teacher and then teaching my daughter... Guess I had diff expectations.... Anyway, yes, let's def go together! Maybe it'll be diff during the week

Thanks all. Really love the look of that Gym-nest place but their program is 9am all 3 days offered. You'd think they'd offer a range of times to accommodate different schedules.

I find Gold's Gym to be like that. But they offered better classes for 2 and under. Gymnest seems to be for older girls.
