Kinda sad **Update with good news**

Nothing major, but I got the invite to DS's preK graduation. My parents live around the block from me and are a big part of the boy's lives. Both sets of grandparents are so I am very lucky. Well, I told my mom and she felt bad she was leaving to visit her father the day before. Has reservations in Boca, FL already and all. I was inviting my IL's as well, but know they don't live as close. I was a bit upset bc DS has been through so much and doing so well, but I did understand. My grandfather is 98 in Florida on his own and doing great. I just know she goes to all her grandkids big accomplishments. Anyway, just a bit sad about her not coming.

Ok... that was fast and my mom is awesome. She called the hotel and changed the dates so she'll leave next Friday (the day after graduation). Originally was supposed to go Wednesday and grad was Thursday. SHe will add on the two days to see him at the end. Sooo happy. She is so sweet. I told her I felt bad and she says she is spending the same time with grandpa and it's fine. She wants to be there for graduation.
Good thing is she is an accountant so it's not as busy now for her and my father is retired so they don't have to worry about work.

So sorry.
Trust me, my throat clams up knowing my father won't be there Thursday. All I can tell my daughter is that he would have been proud. He was in the hospital her first day of school but I was able to show him a photo. He called her that night from the hospital, she won't remember that, but I will.

Take tons of photos! share them and if you can that day, sneak a live phone call in from grandma to the grad during the excitement of it!
