Daycare question-advice

My dd has been at her daycare for 8 months and we've been very happy. I'm apart of a local moms FB site and every time someone inquires about the daycare the same set of moms comment about how the school is terrible, constant sicknesses, turnover, bad experiences... And then other moms say they've heard not so good things about the school. My dd has been sick maybe 2x it actually reduced upon changing her to this daycare (we moved). She's had the same teachers and she enjoys going to school and loves her teachers. I've never had a bad feeling about anything and the facility is very clean and new. However when I see these comments it makes me nervous that I'm missing something?!? My husband thinks if she's happy and we're happy then everything is fine. WWYD?
* this is not a LI daycare

Honestly, everyone has their own opinions. My own son's teacher, everyone loves and I don't. If your child is coming home happy, I wouldn't be concerned.

I agree with this. A good friend of mine lives in CT, and her children's daycare was bought by new owners- a husband & wife that own 2 other daycares in the state. Word got out that people were unhappy at the other day care's, it was terrible, the owners were rich snobs who only cared about money. My friend was flipping out. Well, the sale went through, the new owners are in place, and all of the parents love them. They have no idea where those nasty reviews came from, and both of their other so called "terrible" centers are at capacity with waiting lists. I would take other's reviews with a grain of salt. If YOU are happy, and your child is happy, then that is the right place for you. Not every day care is the right fit for every family. Chat Icon

Thanks girls that's what I was thinking also. I looked at the alternative daycares that were being suggested and while they were ok the look/feel wasn't even a close comparison.
