My DD is 9 months old. She is growing out of her infant tub but I am too nervous to keep her in my tub yet, even though she is sitting on her own. Is there a transitional tub that is safe to use with babies before they go in the regular tub.

i kept DS in the infant tub till 17 months

you can also try the inflatable duck tub (which i actually hated but others seem to love)

you could also try finding one of those tub seats for the regular tub (they were recalled, but only because people were leaving kids in the tub with no supervision so there were drownings)

DS 1 stayed in the infant tub until 17 months because he didn't want to move to the big tub but, DS 2 moved at 6 months - I just held him in there. He wanted no part of the infant tub whatsoever.

Another friend of mine bathed her kids in the kitchen sink.

We went straight to the tub at 7 months. I have seen the laundry basket in the tub on Pinterest.

I use the inflatable duck (you can buy it on walmart.com) -- i hate it, but it is safe and works well. I just dont like storing it!!!

Last week we got an inflatable tub that wasn't any bigger than her infant one so I got a step stool and now I put the step stool into the tub, sit on it, and bathe her.

DD is 9 months.

Get the Euro Primo tub. It's big. My 9 month old is 24 lbs and was 29 inches last month and fits in there comfortably. We also have a 1st years tub and he fits in that just fine. I personally wouldn't put a 9 month-old in the big tub yet. You can try showering with your infant though. He DH does that. I don't try to bc at 24lbs, DS2 is just too heavy for me to hold for too long.

DS moved to the ducky tub at 7 months. He was out of it by 10 months because he just kept escaping! After he was out, he roamed free in the full bath. I liked the ducky for transition. We always just kept it inflated next to the tub, but we have a large bathroom and he's the only one that bathed in that bathroom. I couldn't imagine having a full size ducky tub in a bathroom that we would all shower in!

I just put him in the big tub with a mat underneath at that point. You will be surprised, he did great!

I had bough the blow up tub, and it really was not going to provide him much more room than the infant tub, so I sent it back!

Put her in the reg tub with one of those nonslip mats. I sit on the edge of tub wth my feet in the water leaning over

we got a nonslip mat and put him in, I sit right there with him. Ever since then he LOVES bath time, hated the infant tub

I bought a mat and put it under DS. We tried to put him in the big tub around 10 months and he was scared. Tried again around 1 year and he was much better. It took a few baths for him to fully adjust, but eventually he realized he could move all over the tub and he loved it.

I suggest buying a few new bath toys to make the transition fun.

Hailey took baths in the sink until she was 1

Then we found a seat for the tub

Now we have a big plastic mat so she cant slip while shes in there... she loves the freedom.

We got dd the duck tub around 11 months and she still uses it at 19 months. It has a leak somewhere now and keeps deflating everyday, so I'm probably going to get rid of it soon, but it was great while it lasted.

Use a sturdy plastic laundry basket.
