My older DD could identify all her letters by 19 mos. (she's now almost 7).
My LO is now 19 mos and I haven't even attempted to teach her any letters at all. (poor 2nd child!)

DS1 recognized all of the capital letters by 21 months. I had bought the Leap Frog refrigerator magnets about a month before that and he played with it constantly. I was surprised how quickly he learned the letters. DS2 will be 2 in July and has absolutely no interest in letters yet.
