Yay! I'm a mommy!!
Our baby girl Ella Christine was born on May 19. I can't believe I am officially a mommy! It still doesn't feel real! I look fwd to finally chatting on this board, I am sure I will have tons of questions =)

As for the safety pins--when my little peanut was born she had a little damage to her arm upon delivery. It should heal in a few weeks on its own but to prevent her from flailing her arm all around we have the sleeve of her shirt pinned to her outfit. It stops her from moving it around too much.

Thanks so much! It was pretty scary but hopefully she will fully recover, tomorrow we see the orthopedist so hopefully we won't have to pin her arm much longer.

Congrats, she's adorable!
Hopefully she's all recovered soon! DD wore a harness for several weeks when she was born bc of hip dysplasia and as tough as it seemed at the time, it went so quickly and now we hardly remember it. GL tomorrow!

Congrats! She's lovely.
Same thing happened to my DD when she was born last summer. She fractured her left clavicle coming out (basically breaking her collarbone). Her arm was taped in the hospital. Basically, we were just super careful with her in the beginning but she is totally fine. Yours will be too.

Thanks for the warm welcome girls!! The ortho said she is looking good and no need to pin her arm anymore, Yay!! We go back in 6 weeks for a follow-up Xray but that is just a precaution. It's so funny b/c now that she can move her other arm she looks at it like oh this one moves too.. lol
