How often do you change your kids diaper?

My mom changes my son every time he pees. She says that's the way you're supposed to.

I change him every 3 hours unless i notice he is very wet or has poop. We did it like this when I was working in a daycare.

She will be watching my son full time in a month and I'm afraid she is going to run me broke on diapers!!

We did when DD had the blue line on the diapers unless we didn't see it right away. I don't like to leave her in a wet diaper. Now, I would say 3 hours is about right, but still sooner if I can tell she has pee in it.

I change DS before every feed, so about every 2.5-3 hours unless I see the blue stripe appear on the diaper sooner or know he went poop. I would rather go though diapers than deal with a diaper rash.

I change his diaper anytime there is something in it - sometimes it's twice in an hour and sometimes it's every 3 hours

I change her every time she pees or poops. DD cries when she is dirty- even just a little bit.

Before every feeding, so now every 4 hours. When dd was a newborn every 2.5 -3 hours.

If she poops I change her as soon as she is done pooping.

If I changed my kids EVERY time they pee'd I would be going through a box of diapers a day!

My aunts and mom were the SAME way as your mom, they insist that you HAVE to change them constantly. Such old school thinking. Diapers aren't like they use to be, they are much better made and so much more absorbent. There is NO reason to change them constantly.

I change my kids diapers, on average, around every 3 hours. Of course if they poop (or have a really wet diaper) they get changed more frequently but otherwise every few hours is plenty.

My son doesn't even cry for a poop. Sometimes he will wiggle around but that's it.
My husband gave me him to Check yesterday. I put him on the changing table and he winked at me

Changing DDs diaper is probably the only thing that isn't on strict routine.

When I notice her diaper is full, I change it. Sometimes before a feeding, sometimes after if we are going out somewhere shortly after.

I change it immediately following a BM. But DD could let the whole town know when she is pooping by her pooping noises. She sounds like a lawn mower! And sometimes she pushes so hard her face turns purple and her eyes water.

Dd is older now (almost 2) but I've always followed the same policy. I change is as soon as there is a poop, but change pee diapers when they are very full. She's never been the type to care about wet diapers and never complains. It is a combination of pure laziness and the fact that she doesn't even want me to change her diaper most of the time. I'll ask and she says no, so I wait until absolutely necessary. We're lucky though - she doesn't tend to get diaper rashes. I know some people whose dc get diaper rashes very easily.

when they were little, every 2 hours or so (unless very wet or pooped)

at 16m, every 3-4 hours unless she pooped!
