Reflux, Gas, Colic or Allergy
I know something is not right with DD but not sure what. I have an apt with ped next week but trying to figure out whats going on so I can better help her now.
Basically she sometimes (mostly at dinner/night time) starts crying after she eats and we try to put her down in RNP. She will take a paci for a few minutes then starts cranking then crying. We have to pick her up and takes a few minutes of rocking/burping and changing positions to settle her. If we put her back down she will sometimes repeat the whole thing. I usually have to rock her in the RNP for an hour before she will stop cranking/crying when we go to bed. She also does this during the day sometimes but usually during the day will just sleep on her own when we put her down without any help.
Sometimes (maybe half) of her feedings she has projectile spit up and then cries afterward for a minute. Sometimes she just has normal spit up and it doesn't bother her. I also notice a lot of farting after a bottle.
She is on Gentlease for about 2 weeks.
Im thinking its not Colic b/c we can eventually calm her and shes not crying for hours? Im leaning towards reflux but not sure since she takes the bottle fine its just afterward that's an issue - and only some of the time.
She also does a lot of grunting/animal noises - im thinking its just normal infant stuff but makes it so hard to sleep
Also for those who use Gerber Soothe Probiotic drops - where do you buy it? My ped had recommended probiotics b/c DD was on antibiotics when she was born and thought her digestive issues might be from that.

Re: Reflux, Gas, Colic or Allergy
Sounds a lot like allergy to me, especially the projectile vomit. Have her stools tats for blood, takes 5 minutes at the ped's office and that can rule out allergy.

Reflux, Gas, Colic or Allergy
It sounds like reflux and gas to me. Food allergies are frequently accompanied with changes in stool. When DD has a reaction to a food she has stool with bloody mucus. I have also found that when she has a milder reaction she only has mucus in her stool. Additionally her spit up has a different smell when she has a reaction. I have found frequent burping helps prevent the gas and reflux. My pediatrician also recommended holding DD upright after feedings. It has help to prevent the projectile spit up.
ETA: my DD is EBF and reacts when I eat soy and eggs so far. With FF it should be a bit easier to manage potential food allergies. Good luck.

Reflux, Gas, Colic or Allergy
My DS was similiar. We had no idea what was wrong. most babies have reflux and gas (as per my Ped) but I KNEW something else was off. They tried to give me zantac and a sensitive formula and send me on my way each week. My DS was almost 9 weeks before the blood started in the stool. The first 9 weeks were screaming, changing formulas, refusing to sleep at night but sleeping fine during the day or sleeping on us was always fine. He would silent scream from about 6pm-10pm every night...Follow your gut, I wish I had just cut out the dairy from my diet (or tried nutramigen) instead of waiting until it go so bad that he bled :( Good Luck, its so tough!

This is what happened with my dd. She never had blood in her stool though. After screaming for 2 hours straight one night I called the Dr and TOLD them I was switching to Nutramigen. Within a week I had a completely different baby.
Definitely go with your gut. Good luck!!
