fire island?
Who knows fire island well? I haven't been there in FOREVER. We want to maybe take a day trip there today with the kids. How do we get there and where do we go? and what is there?

fire island?
Depends on where you live. There are ferries from Patchogue and BayShore. I usually head over to Kismet. There is a playground and a couple of restaurants. Also an ice cream stand. Ocean Beach is also a good choice. More shops there.

I used to live in the Pines and know that well.
You take the ferry from Sayville. I am going there next weekend w my kids. We will spend most of the time at my aunts beach house and pool and then head down to the beach.

Agree with PP. What town do you live in?
We're brookhaven so we take the ferry from patchogue to davis park since we have the parking sticker. There's the beach of course, a restaurant, a snack bar, playground, and public bathrooms.
I used to go to Ocean Beach a lot but haven't taken DD yet. There are lots of restaurants, shops, a playground, etc.
