If your LO only takes one nap, do they ever fall asleep in the car?

We just dropped to one nap in the afternoon. If we go out in the morning, DS ends up falling asleep in the car and then he won't fall asleep for his nap until late. I don't want to avoid leaving the house but I don't know what to do. Any advice?

My DS falls asleep all the time in the morning when we go out. His nap is usually around 1. He will take a cat nap in the car in the am sometimes. If it's not his nap time I make sure to wake him up so he will take the nap around the normal time.

My dd will do this if shes tired. But if were home she would never fall asleep... and my dd wont take her reg nap when thid happens. She could fall asleep for 5 min she wont ho bavk down at her reg scheduled nap.

When my dd dropped to 1 nap in the afternoon i changed my schedule. I ho out super early and get home in time to put her down for her afternoon Nap. I go back out after she wakes.

My dd cannot be transferred from car to bed she wakes. She has to be bryond exhausted for it to work.

Some days its annoying cause her nap is smack in the afternoon but ive learned to deal. on the random days i cant be home i try to time the drive around her nap. Like sn hour drive i leave around nap time. And since she takes a shorter nap she gets an earlier bedtime.

Other times when i know the drive home is cutting close to her nap i keep her busy. She watches movies on portable dvd player or ipad. Give her toys or books. Again only if shes exhausted does it not work.
