Gas relief for infants
Ds has bad gas. He is gaining weight and doesn't spit anything up but about 2 hours after he eats he starts crying and is uncomfortable and passes a lot of gas. I have tried the bicycle legs and the infant gas drops. Has anyone been successful with anything else? I feel bad for my poor little guy and he's inconsolable.

Re: Gas relief for infants
My ped. recommended putting 1 ml of Maalox in each bottle (Babies are 5 weeks old and under 8 pounds, perhaps your baby would need a different amount?) I think it helps a bit. One twin is showing signs of reflux and we are now on Enfamil AR, which is a little thicker, so he is spitting up less and i think it is also helping the other twin who is more gassy. I have used the Mylicon drops with them and my previous babies, but didn't think it did much.
Also, I find with the twins, I actually get better burps when I let them finish the whole bottle and then burp. (they are taking about 3.5 oz. per feeding right now) I also try to hold them upright or over my shoulder for a few minutes after each feeding so it "settles."

Gas relief for infants
My dd has acid reflux and is one gassy girl. She gets cereal i her bottle for reflux if not she projectile vomits her whole bottle. She's on similac alimentum. Gas drops before every bottle. I use Maalox if she is very gassy and also colic calm. You can try chamomile tea. Try belly time. My dd likes it for a few minutes at a time. I think it soothe her belly.

Re: Gas relief for infants
We switched to a gentleease formula and also switched bottles to the playtex drop ins. We were able to push out the air from the bag and I found that helped.
