DD never wants to go outside
Anyone else have a kid who doesn't want to go outside? It's the craziest thing, the weather is finally nice & she never wants to be out. We go to the park for 10 minutes & she's whining to go home. What kid doesn't like the park

DD never wants to go outside
DD is the opposite and once she's out she NEVER wants to come back in. Doesn't matter whether it's nice weather or it was the middle of a snow storm over the winter.
Maybe the sun bothers her eyes? Does she have a hat or sunglasses?

Re: DD never wants to go outside
My 2nd ds can be like that. He gets hot very quickly or cold very quickly and has enough. Lots of times he rather play inside but once he goes out he has a blast.

Re: DD never wants to go outside
My DS is almost 3 and is the same way. We basically have to force him outside and then he wants to come in right away. Sometimes I'll take an indoor activity, like playdoh, stickers etc out and do it on the picnic table with him just so he's in the fresh air.

Re: DD never wants to go outside
do you take sunglasses or a drink? maybe the sun bothers her eyes or she's thirsty? it could be a phase. also when i was little i hated being outside. unless it was the beach i didnt want to be there. i hated the feeling of dirt, grass, etc. maybe the ground is bothering her too? does she have good sneakers/socks? i have no idea what might help. i think some kids actually dont like being outside. does she get dirty inside? i never liked fingerpaint or messy art activities. dont know why.

Re: DD never wants to go outside
That's funny, now that I think of it, she really doesn't like to get dirty inside. She won't wear sunglasses & always says she's not thirsty but she never drinks. Who knows - I will never figure this girl out!

DD never wants to go outside
Sounds like my Dh. He laughed because I love the outdoors and dd takes after me. I hate being cooped up indoors.

This..
Around 3 is when we pushed for outdoor fun. Now she'll stay out all day if I let her. But I put a table outdoors and would paint with her or do anything she wanted to do indoors, outdoors. Hell that's why I moved here and got a house wasn't it?
