Potty Talk
How do I stop it? DS is 4 and loves potty talk- at home its controllable but before we see a friend he gets amped up and says how much he will say it and then he gets them to say it. I know he'll outgrow it and I TRY to ignore it - but I also don't want him to think its acceptable. Any suggestions?

Re: Potty Talk
I'm laughing because this was the conversation between my 3 year old son (P) and his 4 year old cousin (A) last week in the car... P: My favorite color is black and red. What's your favorite color? A: My favorite color is poopy! P: That's not a color! Seriously?!

Anyway, my son is always going on about "poopy" which I find so funny because his older sisters were NOT like that. Boys! I wouldn't make a thing out of it--I know it's a phase. As long as he's not in school being disruptive with that kind of talk, I'd let it slide.

Re: Potty Talk
LOL. I am no help because I love potty talk myself and end up laughing when she does it. Yeah, I'm mature.

Re: Potty Talk
DD is going through this now (she's 3). I just keep telling her I don't like potty talk, and she should only be talking about poopy if she's in the bathroom. But I should probably just ignore. I've found not giving words power makes them less appealing to her. It's just so hard not to correct!
