As dd is my first I'm amazed how its seems overnight she went from being my little baby to an independent toddler. Now that she can walk she no longer wants to be carried. She tried putting on her own sock today didn't happen as she is only 1 but she is determined to do things on her own. It used to take me 10 minutes to get out the door now it takes 25 as she wants to walk to the car. I know it only gets worse but I'm just amazed that a month ago she was just a little baby.

I know! That sounds just like my dd. It's been taking me longer to get out the door too lately. She wants to try to put her own shoes on and walk to the car (making stops along the way, of course) and now her new thing is she wants to clip her own seatbelt straps together, which takes forever but she throws a fit if I do it for her. I'm sure she'll get quicker at everything with practice.

Don't worry they will go through stages. My DS is clingy sometimes and wants me to carry him like a baby.
