Spinoff to getting rid of things- where?
Where do you bring the old toys? Specifically, are there places that take stuffed animals?

Spinoff to getting rid of things- where?
We donate to the vets or Lupus. Big Bro Big Sis are forever calling us and not leaving messages so we refuse to donate to them anymore.

This! They come and pick it up so I leave a bunch of bags filled with clothes and toys in the front labeled Big Brothers.

I have had the same thing happen to me with big brothers big sisters so I no longer donate to them either. I like the VA too.

Spinoff to getting rid of things- where?
Big Brothers calls me non stop, it's really ridiculous. I know they are eager to pick up people's stuff to sell to local thrift stores, but it's a huge turnoff to be hounded. I donate to the church thrift store, or the hospital thrift store. Church nursery will take toys, maybe libraries or local pre-schools.

I just had the Vietnam vets picking up a couple of days ago. I think I'm going to try cow harbor kids for a few things. Anything else I think I will donate to the church thrift store.
