6.5 month old and solids - how much?

What solids is/was your 6.5 month old eating, how much, how often, etc?

We started solids late - right at 6 months. Right now he eats twice a day, a mix of fruit and veggie purees with some soft solids (think banana or sweet potato). About 3.5-5 oz per 'meal'. We skipped oatmeal/rice cereal, but may introduce it soon with some fruit. It took a couple days but he loves his food for the most part, and readily eats the amount we're at right now. I'm wondering when I should increase? Or add another 'meal', start serving larger portions...etc.

DS gets breakfast, lunch and dinner. We do fruit for breakfast, veggies for lunch and meat for dinner. The amount varies based on his hunger.

Same here. If DD finished what I prepared then I would just mix some oatmeal (just used hot water) and gave her that since it was so quick to throw together.

I stuck to one meal at 6 months, did two at 7 months, and three at 8 months.

If your still nursing though, nurse first, then feed solids till full. I would nurse or he would get a bottle of BM and then give solids like 30-45 minutes later.

Solids shouldn't replace breast milk until much closer to a year. It's different with formula.

Yes, still nursing, and I always feed solids after BM. In the morning it's about 30 min after, but in the afternoon due to scheduling it's about 1.5 hours after.

Dd loved avocado and banana blended together. I'd do 1 banana/1 avocado. You can thin with a bit of breast milk or formula.
