Dd has had fish at 9 months. Just no shellfish due to the allergy risk.

We just did it recently (18 mo) but only this late b/c I was searching for new foods and tried the Dr. Praegers fish sticks. FIL has a shellfish allergy so we need to be on alert with them when we give them shrimp. they say not til 2. I guess so they can communicate better if they are having a reaction.

I don't remember when we first tried it, but DS is 15 months and loves fish. We only give white fishes right now.

I don't think she's ever eaten fish.
I don't make it at home because DH doesn't eat it and in a restaurant she isn't going to be ordering fish.
So honestly, not yet. LOL

We did Salmon around 7.5 months. It was pureed but she liked it.

I think around 9-10 months. She loves fish! Waiting til 2 to introduce shellfish, as per my ped.

I've given dd shrimp a few times... my ped never said anything about waiting... it was a little too chewy for her at the time I think - she only was interested in a few bites each time. I never really make fish other than shrimp, so she hasn't tried anything else. except fishsticks which she hated. dd is 18m now... not sure when I tried shrimp the first time... maybe around a year.

My Ped. asked me to wait until 12 months to give things like Salmon, fillets etc.
They love it now and aren't allergic! thank God

At 8 months we started giving her salmon and flounder. We just haven't done shell fish yet, prob wait till 2 for that
