Peaches Geldof Died of a Heroin Overdose

Peaches Geldof, who was found dead at her English country home on April 7, reportedly died of a heroin overdose.
An inquest into the death of the daughter of Irish rocker Sir Bob Geldof, will be told on Thursday that the 25-year-old died of a drug overdose, The Times in the U.K. is reporting.
The British TV model, writer and TV personality was found dead while looking after her 11-month-old son, Phaedra, at home, and police initially described her passing as "non-suspicious" and a "sudden unexplained" death.
The Times reports that police discovered no evidence of drugs paraphernalia in the house, and after an autopsy proved inconclusive, samples were sent to a laboratory for toxicology testing.
The manner of Geldof's passing echoes the death of her mother, TV presenter Paula Yates, who died from an accidental heroin overdose in 2000, when she was home alone with her youngest daughter, Tiger Lily, 4, whose father was INXS singer Michael Hutchence.
Geldof admitted that she experimented with drugs during her younger years. "I could have let myself spiral but all the time I remembered what happened to my mum," she told Elle magazine in 2012.
The last picture Geldof shared on Instagram was an old photo showing Yates holding her as a child.

I didn't know her stepsister's dad was Michael Hutchence. That means that poor girl was an orphan at 4 & grew up w/o both of her parents b/c he died of an OD too.

So sad - but makes me so angry!! She was with her 11 month old and was shooting up?? That is just incomprehensible to me. You want to get high? Great...how about making sure someone is taking care of your infant first?

I always wonder do people like this quit the drugs while pregnant? If so why go back after birth? I mean it does not add up. Very sad nonetheless.

I thought he did too, well, from Auto Erotic Asphyxiation to be exact. I read an article before I commented and the updated article said that, the hanging was just a rumor and he died of a lethal combo of cocaine, Prozac, & Alcohol in his system.

Yes! This is what I always wonder myself! Why the hell would you ever even want to give it a try? It's common knowledge how horribly addictive it is. Boggles my mind!

I'm sorry, but this just makes me mad. She had two boys under two years old. She was supposedly caring for an 11 month old infant, and apparently doing heroin at the same time??? I don't understand people sometimes. Those poor babies.

It's the next step up from prescription drugs. When things like percs, Vicodin, etc. aren't doing the trick anymore Heroin is the next best in their eyes. It's usually how all addicts start.

I was watching something on Oprah's channel a few weeks ago and it was focused on this ongoing heroin epidemic and one of the mothers who lost her son to a heroin OD actually said the first few times her son did heroin he was told it was something else. By the time he realized it was heroin he had done a few times, he was hooked and never was able to get clean. Supposedly some of the drug dealers/pushers are doing this to get the people hooked before they know what it is!

You mean her half sister since they would have the same mother. Sorry drives me crazy when people refer to bio siblings as a step sibling.
I feel sorry for her kids and family, it's tragic. Unfortunately, addiction is very hard to overcome and it's a lifetime struggle if you ever do sober up. Unless you are an addict or been around it, it's hard to grasp the concept and understand. It's not simple at all.
She just had a baby so that could've effected her when she started using again or maybe she thought I'll just do it one more time or having marital issues, it's hard to say what sets a person on that downward spiral.
