Gift for older sibling from new baby
I've heard that some people buy a gift from the new baby to their older child and gave it to them when the big bro or sis came to see them at the hospital. Dh and I think this would be a nice idea for our dd who is almost 2.5.
Just curious to see what people gave for those who did this. It would be a small gift, I was thinking new stuffed animal? but would love any ideas.

Gift for older sibling from new baby
I'm doing this for dd - but she's only 15 months
I am getting her toys that I know she will like - which right now she's in a doll phase so that's what I'm getting. I want it to be something she will get at the hospital and that will also keep her busy when she visits at the hospital

We bought dd a bitty baby doll before dd2 was born, but honestly she could care less about it or any gift she got. Dd1 was almost 2 when dd2 was born and she was just happy to have a baby sister. I wouldn't worry too much about it - everyone will bring her gifts, so I doubt she will even register that she got a gift from the baby.

We did this for DS who was 2 1/2 when DD was born. She "gave" him a doctor's kit. I really like the idea of a stuffed animal too!

DD is 4 and just became a big sister. Her brother got her a big sis necklace that she's been wearing every day and a bag of other goodies.... Mainly things she could play with at the hospital (Frozen coloring book, new marker set, snacks, palace pets). She was so excited but questioned how the baby was able to get her all the gifts. Lol

Gift for older sibling from new baby
We got my daughter who was 3 1/2 a doll and a doll infant carrier. That way she could use her carrier when we took the baby places in his.

we got DD a toddler rapunzel doll - nothing too big and got it on a great sale at TRU just something for her to get when people are oohing and ahhing over the baby

Gift for older sibling from new baby
DD is obsessed with Disney, so I got her a few toys/dolls and brought them to the hospital from the baby. She was thrilled and tells everyone what her sister got her (she's 4)

My son is 5 and I asked him what he would like his new baby brother to bring him and he told me that the baby can't go shopping inside of me LOL! He wants an imaginext toy!

We got DS a diecast car from the Cars movie. He still remembers which one is from his brother even though he was only 2.5 when he got it!
We also had DS1 go and pick out a small toy to give to his brother.

DS was 3 a the time DS2 was born. WE gave him a tomas the train car and a small board game.

We did this in Jan. Someone on here said they got their DD a personalized "diaper" bag from PBK. It comes with toy diapers, wipes, bottle and changing pad. DD loved it. I told her she can use it to help me with the baby.
