Children "talking" to spirits

You ever hear how they say babies talk to spirits and people who have passed on? Well every time I put my son on the changing table, he looks in the corner at something (someone?) and smiles and coos. I got video of it on my cell phone. It's unbelievable but he does it nearly every time! Even if I out him down crying he looks and smiles. I think he is seeing my husbands father who passed away in 94. I'm dying to know who or what it is.

Anyone experience anything similar?

My DH and I have found the same thing with our DS. It is also near his changing table. However, even now as he is talking and babbling now it's as if he's having a conversation.

Both of our dads passed 4 years ago so it's kind of welcome.

i feel pretty sure that my son talks to spirits (he's only 9 months old). i have a lot of family that has passed away so i'm sure he has a lot of people to talk to ;) he does it a lot on the changing table but also in the chair where i feed him during the day, he will look up out the window and babble and coo. my dad, grandfather and a close uncle have all passed so i'm delighted if that's who he's talking to!

My girls heads and eyes both followed something across the ceiling of my bedroom once. They were maybe a month old. I saw nothing. Then they would coo and laugh at something. I like to think it was my grandma. They have done it more recently too when eating in the kitchen. They just look at something across the room??

My son did this for the longest time, and still at 17 months does it occasionally. I asked him when he was an infant if he was playing with "Justin", who is my aunts (who lives with me) son who passed away and DS turned to me and gave the biggest smile. That's all the confirmation that I needed to say he was playing with the baby angel.

Both of my kids did this as babies. It would really creep me out at times. It was usually when I was in the nursery either bf or rocking them to bed. They would turn their heads to look at nothing then smile, coo, laugh. DS especially would stop bf and turn his head to the doorway and smile and laugh.

I think it is probably DH's father who passed 7-8 years ago and maybe my grandparents.

DH & I are pretty convinced that there are spirit/s in our house. We mostly sense it in our upstairs hallway. And almost always when I carry DD downstairs from the bedroom or wherever upstairs, she waves and says "Hi" when we hit the hallway. I get the chills every time.

My Dad passed away when DD1 was 15 months. My mom and I swear that she could see him. She wasn't talking much when he passed away, but when she did start talking she would always talk about Poppy. We never would refer to him as Poppy in front of her. She could also pick him out of any picture, even younger pics of him.

One time we were sitting at the kitchen table and clear as day she looked out the window towards our backyard pointed and said "Poppys here!" I said who is that, and she repeated it again "Poppy! he is right here!" I looked out the window and no one was around.

Once in awhile I see DD2 look up towards the ceiling, point, smile etc.

Yes, I believe it! My DH thinks i'm crazy but when I look in my DS' monitor I always see orbs flying around his room. I have grandparents that have passed, in fact, my grandmother passed away while I was pregnant with DS. This past summer, I went to a psychic/medium that people on here recommended. The first thing she said to me when I sat down, was that your grandparents are telling me to talk about your son, that he sees them. I didn't tell her I had kids or a son. DH thinks its BS but I believe it!

Yup, DS does this too at times - gets fixated on something and coos and giggles. I believe it's either DH's late father (whom DS is named for) or my grandmother who recently passed. It doesn't bother me.

My daughter saw my grandmother. It was eerie at first .. but we believe. Our dead are always with us. Spirits are not there to harm.

She's never seen my seen grandmother. But one day she asked me who 'grandma' was and I showed her my MIL. then she said no.. so I reluctantly showed her my step mother and even my own mother but each time she got more and more frustrated DEMANDING that I show her a photo of Grandma!

So it finally dawned on me and I asked my aunt to show her a photo of *MY* grandmother. Then she looked relieved and said "yes!... I love you grandma" and gave the photo a kiss and was content.

She is now 5 and doesn't speak to them as often but she will talk to my father in her dreams. She told me "Grandpa said its ok for you to be sad Mom, he still loves you and me too. But I love him most" and skipped off with a huge grin like nothing to it. I felt like a sledgehammer had found its way into my chest. Just last week she said my father told her this: "Grandpa said he's going to watch all of San Antonio for me". Say what? well ok.

As an infant she had a ghost turn on her mobile for her when she was in her crib. At first I thought it was a faulty mobile. When that Fisher Price one died and I replaced it with a Tiny Love, it continued to act the same. It should always shut off if I opened the door, but I could hear it through her monitor.

Cause no harm and I will see no fear.

Not my dd but my parents would always tell me I would speak to my grandfather at bedtime. He died when I was 2 and they would walk in my room and ask me who I was talking to and I'd say grandpa. There was a framed photo above my dresser and one day my aunt and mom walked in and I had the picture in my hands. Creeps me out but never bothered them. A couple of my family members tell me the same thing so I know it wasn't an over active imagination on my mom's side.

DD baby J talks to her great grandpa Wally all the time! She is obsessed with his old chair (I have it) and she laughs and giggles when she sits in it and rolls around in it.... the other DD cant be bothered. She talks jibberish in her own language to his picture and smiles and laughs at it all the time.

My nephew sees and talks to my dad and his mother's dad- and he has said a few things that have surprised us, because we don't know how he knows them.

Was thinking about this post and wanted to add . . .

When my brother was around 2 or 3 my mom was putting him to bed one night and he asked her where his sister was. My mom (referring to me) said "She's in her room reading". He responded "No, not her. My OTHER sister." My mom lost a baby girl at 20 weeks between my brother and I but no one ever spoke about it because my mom would get too upset. We were positive that no one had told him about her.

My sister is at a gallery reading for a psychic right now and I am dyingggg to know if she got read and if he said anything about my son

My niece did this when she was young and it was eerie and surreal. She referenced my mom at 18 months, stuff she didn't know and was too young.

I believe my DD sees my grandfather - who she is named for and I was very close to. When I see her "talking" and babbling to someone, I say "Tell great grandpa I say hi and that I miss him"

It makes me feel good to know that he's here and that he is getting to know her. She will be the only great grand daughter he didn't get to know.

BTW - I was reading these posts while watching Long Island Medium on DVR..... Kinda freaky
