We bought our oldest DD a full-size keyboard for piano lessons and we're buying my middle DD a basketball hoop for her 7th next month.

She has 2 American girls and we bought her an electric guitar and lessons for Christmas. She's a big soccer player and dancer, but has most anything for those she could want. I'm so stumped.

How about a kindle or an iPod?
Or if she is a girly girl, maybe a pretty bracelet or necklace that she can wear every day.

She wants an iPod touch, but we aren't comfortable getting her that yet. I asked her again what she wants, and offered a trip to the city to do anything she wants and she says that is what she wants to do...I offered to go see Aladdin or Cinderella on Broadway and she said she would rather go to the Museum of Natural History, walk around Central Park, and then go to Serendipity for lunch! Cheap date!!

So glad! I was going to suggest a day out doing a grown up thing like a museum or show! She will definitely have great memories! And so will you!

I am so glad that you found something for her to do on her birthday. My son will be 7 this summer and we are planning on something similar for him. Most of our friends are skipping the big parties in favor of doing something in the city and getting a toy. As for a toy, lego friends and frozen seem to be big hits.
