After school programs for elementary schools?
Is it common for school districts to have an after school program to accommodate working parents? Although my sin won't be starting kindergarten till the 2015/2016 school year, I can't help but panic about how we can arrange to pick him up.
I am in the Plainedge school district and didn't see anything on their website. We don't have any family that can do a pick up.
What do most people do?

I can't speak for plainedge specifically, but I'm an educator and know that most districts have. It's often not the district itself that provides it, but rather a local organization (ie church or temple) that hires people and utilizes the school space (which is why it's not on a website). You should call the school and ask. They can put you in contact with the agency that provides it.
